About Shane Sandler

Shane Sandler was raised in San Diego and through immense trials and tribulations with stunted puberty and awkward social skills, he ultimately turned to where all those who feel out of place go; entertainment. He auditioned to be on countless Nickelodeon and Disney shows and movies but the gas ran out of the tank fast with the constant denials that come with a career in acting. Years later, now 6'2" and somewhat “normal-ish” in a dinner party setting, Shane found himself at the gorgeous University of Southern California. With his new "post-puberty chic" look, he tried out the fraternity life and the fraternity life saw right through his lack of needed skills to be in that world (chugging beer is way harder than it looks). Lost and confused, Shane went back to his middle school sweetheart. Acting. This time, there was plenty of gas in the tank and after a year and a half, Shane had countless student and short films under his belt.

With a shock of confidence and enthusiasm, Shane found himself an iMDB Pro account (fancy, we know) and got to emailing. I don't know what's harder, cold emailing agents or chugging a beer cause man oh man there was no luck to be had. After hundreds of emails, Shane finally got a manager! From there he went on to book roles on Netflix and HBO and then... COVID! COVID was a blessing and a curse. Curse for obvious reasons but a blessing because it got Shane interested in writing. He wrote two scripts during that time. One of which has gone on to win an award on Coverfly and the other is a high-budget action-buddy comedy that already has countless attachments (Radar Pictures, high-end stunt coordinators and a camera action teams who’s credits include Gran Turismo and Michael Bay’s Ambulance).

Now Shane is on the hunt to further his acting and writing career in the wake of a four year drought that included a mass pandemic and two separate entertainment-wide strikes. He’s right there. Like a horse in the starting gate of a race, he just needs some help pushing that gate wide open so he can race to the finish line!
